The One Year Millionaire

I am quite sure that a lot of you have either heard of or actively participate on Facebook. This is another one of those social gathering pages that lets everyone create their own profile so they can network through their friends, organize events, promote them and even engage in hours of daily browsing due to boredom. You are probably wondering why I am talking about this and what it has to do with my blog… well the fact is that having an active profile on facebook could be a bonus when it comes to website or product promotion!

Think about it… most of the people who are going to be viewing your profile are either friends, associates or acquaintances of yours… so chances are; they are more likely to be convinced to buy into or at least check out a web page that was made by you. That is of course; unless you have a bad reputation for scamming people and are known to be involved in some sort of shady business. So if you have a good solid reputation and a decent sized friends list… why not promote your link on facebook?

There are literally millions of users logging on to facebook everyday and the amount of promotion that can be done is unmeasurable… however I would like to warn you that blatant advertising and spamming is not appreciated and could result in account termination. Taking that into consideration… promote your products or services within reason and you can stumble onto a goldmine of page hits.

As an extra way to promote your product/service, why not create a group on Facebook? Invite your friends and ask them if they wouldn’t mind inviting their friends as well. If you have a positive idea and what you have to offer is acceptable to the general public (no adult content, hate, illegal,etc.) then there should be no reason why it cannot be a great way to generate a buzz. If a group with no real reason of value can achieve 1,000,000 members on a facebook group, then I am sure that one which offers something can do the same!
