Issue 41 : Be opinionated, leave your Comments!
Hey guys… in this issue of the ‘ONE YEAR MILLIONAIRE‘ I am going to talk about something that most bloggers are doing anyways, why not fully understand the benefits on doing so? I am talking about posting comments on other blogs as a way to build backlinks to your own blog.
Aside from having great content that surfers will enjoy reading, what else can you do to get a good flow of traffic to your blog? The answer is easy: build quality backlinks that will not only boost your Page Rank, but it will also be another source of referral traffic! An excellent way to do this is by commenting on other blogs that are within your niche. If the topics posted on a blog are relevant to yours, why not drop in and share your opinion on the subject at hand! There is no reason why you shouldn’t, but so many reasons why you should!

- Referral Traffic.
Every time you post on another blog they usually ask for your Name, Your Email and Your URL. Having the link to your blog in your comment is just like having another door to your blog. The more places that someone can access your page from, the higher chance of visitors! When other people leave a comment on that blog or read the comments they may come across yours and click on your link! Already you have increased your chances of getting your blog recognized! - Page Rank.
The way that page rank works is simple. The more websites that you have linking to yours, the better your pagerank will be! You can build great backlinks to your blog by commenting on other blogs provided that they are “do-follow” links. Each link will increase your page rank which will increase your search engine traffic. This takes time and you should not expect this to affect your blog overnight. Page Rank is updated quarterly, so every three months you can get your rank updated.“do-Follow”
is the default link in html code and these backlinks will affect your page rank.
“no-Follow” is an attribute given to links that will make sure that your page rank isn’t affected by these backlinks.
The more “do-follow” blogs that you leave comments on, the higher your PR will go. Sometimes posting on a blog with a high PR will help your rank a lot because it is deemed as more important than a lesser PR. Try not to waste your time with posting on blogs with a PR of less than 3 or 4. - Building a Bond.
When leaving your thoughts on another blog… it can be viewed as a webmaster’s bond. Creating bonds with other webmasters in your field is a good idea especially if you are new online. They can provide you will tips to build your blog, they can help build your reputation and they can also send traffic your way! A lot of webmasters will overlook the need to network online with their websites because they think that they will succeed on their own, but there is no way one website can be sustained without the power of all the other websites directing traffic to it! - Learning.
When you are browsing other blogs and reading their posts; believe it or not, you are learning! Every time you read something new on another blog it is an opportunity to increase your knowledge on certain subjects and this should not be taken for granted. Bloggers all around the world are sharing their ideas and knowledge on topics that span the horizons and I believe that you will learn more online by reading than you can ever learn throughout your educational career. Remember to be opinionated; and throw your name into the hat!
Now that we all understand the importance of leaving comments on blogs, how should we go about finding blogs? The best and easiest thing I can suggest is to do a keyword search relative to your niche and add the word “blog” at the end and see what results come up… follow these links and you can find that by going through them many blogs in your niche may be interlinked because the webmasters have already formed those ‘bonds’ that I spoke of. Once you find some good blogs.. read some interesting posts and share something that is on your mind!
In the next issue of the ‘ONE YEAR MILLIONAIRE‘ I am going to be talking about how you can spot scams before it is too late. Don’t miss it!

What most people fail to do when commenting on blogs is to use your anchor text as your required name, and be sure to use the URL that you want to match up with that anchor text. If the blog is dofollow, you’ll get a good, relevant backlink. Don’t put the name Bill, Bob, John etc. and link to that. It won’t do you any good.

I luv do follow Blogs.
Another bonus is the links from do follow blogs can be deep links.
Deep links makes for a much more natural PR flow into your blog, if all of your backlinks point to your home page Google will get wise to you quick.

Nice post. Letting people receive something in return is a great way to increase blog participation. More people should realize this.
