Thanks for the comment... all opinions are always welcome here.

I understand what you mean... and I agree with you that traffic which converts even though its as low as 2 or 3 visitors.... but if you are looking at the internet like I am then you can see why building a readership is important to your online success; at least in this domain.

If you are talking about niche marketing and things like that then that is almost a completely different subject and it is likely that those webmasters would have dozens if not hundreds of websites spread across the internet being monetized.

Thanks once again for providing discussion and good luck with your online business as well!

Really? Readers come first? I'm curious then how you will make money?

Newspapers were really hip on having readers because it allowed them to charge more for ads. In the money making blog context, readers suck because they don't click ads. No clicks = no revenue. BTW, I said papers WERE hip on subscribers. Now that their reader base has access to every paper in the world, they're having to change up their model a little too...but I digress.

If I'm going to be making money with an online business, I'd rather have one visitor from Google who is ready to buy, than 1,000,000 feed subscribers who want to read. Of course, that's just me.

Personally, I subscribe to the volume of trickle traffic method. I'm totally stoked with the two visits I got on one of my sites yesterday because both of them bought something...that's a 100% CTR! Not too bad...

Granted their purchases only produced about a dollar each, but I'll take an average of two dollars a day from 100 sites...if I did my math right that would work out to about $72,000/yr. Again, not too bad...

Don't get me wrong, I've chased the subscriber count, struggled to write good, nee great content, all to no avail.

Of course, if you are blogging to be heard or to build a social network...ignore everything I just said.

Good luck and all the best to ya!
