Issue 60 : Affiliate Blogging!
As you may have noticed, there are a plenty of websites that do not provide theirs readers with any real information; but at the same time, hope to make money from them through advertising or affiliate marketing. That is probably one of the biggest mistakes you can make if you are looking to start making money online! You can’t expect to make money without giving anything in return. I am sure that you will get lucky with an occasional sales commission, but you will not generate anywhere near the amount of sales that you would by creating a website with a great reputation that can offer its readers a reason to return often!
The first question you should be asking yourself is ‘What kind of products, services or information do you think your readers would want?’ I’ve already talked about ‘Selling an E-Book‘ in a previous issue but you could take it a step further and really find out what your visitors want and what they might not be able to turn down!
For Example: If you have a blog about all the latest cell phones… don’t just share affiliate links to collect commissions on cell phone sales… share links on bluetooth headsets, cell phone skins, cases and all possible accessories! You have to make these little things available because some of the smallest things will catch a surfer’s attention! You have to keep in mind that people who are interested in cell phones are probably interested in downloading software for their phones and everyone knows that ring tones are always popular.
So you can easily take this example and change it to accommodate any of your blogs! Whatever your blog is about I am almost 100 percent sure that you can find something that can be sold! Just remember that you want to blog for your readers first and blog for money second. There is no point in concentrating all your time, work and ideas geared towards making sales if you will lose all your visitors in the process. The key to creating a successful business through your website is to build a reputation with trusted sources!
A prime example of successful affiliate marketing is a blog that is about affiliate marketing. I can tell you that because these blogs provide high quality information to their readers they also make high quality commissions! So now that you have a little more information to get you started, take your blog further until you reach your own personal goals!
In the next issue of the ‘ONE YEAR MILLIONAIRE‘ I am going to explain why you don’t need to learn from your mistakes in the world of internet marketing!
