The One Year Millionaire

Who wants to be a millionaire when you can easily be a garbage truck driver or a store clerk? If you didn’t catch the sarcasm in the words I just typed then it might be you. Before you ask yourself if you want to be an Internet Millionaire you have to ask yourself this: “What is the American Dream?” and you will find that most people will say things like “…to have a nice big house, luxury cars, beautiful wife, etc.” and no one ever responds “.. To be too broke to eat, scraping dumpsters for food, etc.”

The facts are simple. Who wants to be a millionaire? Everyone wants to be a Millionaire.The reason that Internet Businesses are successful is because most of them are trying to sell you something that you can’t buy. They are selling you a dream! I’ve taken classes in Advertising and Marketing before and I’ve always been taught that when you are selling most products, you are also selling a lifestyle along with it. For example, in the fashion industry you can sell hats. Perhaps someone buys this hat. They are buying this hat because they like it (Yes), but they are also buying it because it transforms them and could potentially change their lifestyle.

What a lot of new Internet Marketers don’t yet understand is that by buying into the fantasy of ‘Becoming a Millionaire‘ or ‘Quitting your Day Job‘ they are helping those are veterans in the industry because it keeps the dream alive. I am not saying that your dream will not come true; but I do believe that by wanting to ‘Become a Millionaire‘ you are helping others in the Internet Marketing niche become internet millionaires faster!

Before you decide if you truly want to become a Millionaire Online; the word ‘Millionaire’ has a lot of strings attached to it. To be a Millionaire is more than just a financial indicator - it’s also a Social Status. Being a Millionaire means that you must adopt leadership characteristics and follow the lifestyle intended by your role. It seems like the idea of being a millionaire has been the dream of many since Modern Times (or even before that). Why do you think they have TV Shows like “WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?” and “MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER“? It is because these companies are taking advantage of the fact that they know that most people secretly dream of becoming millionaires and most think it is out of reach!

If I had one piece of advice I could ever give to anyone it would be to: Never believe that your Dreams are out of your Reach!

Thinking that your dreams are out of your reach is the only thing that will stop you from reaching them. When I first started in Internet Marketing I had big dreams. I only started to become successful and see results when I started to Dream Bigger and actually believed in myself.

Jumping into the Internet Marketing industry without a dream is like jumping out of a plane without a parachute. You will fall flat. Believe in your dreams and set goals to reach them!

Have you ever stumbled onto a brilliant offer that you wanted to promote using your Internet Marketing tactics and after a day or two with no results just decided to give up on it? If you answered yes… then you could have possibly missed the chance at earning a lot of money online! In fact, it is quite possible that with the time you wasted and money spent that you have been losing money this whole time!

This is what we know:

• There are thousands of people purchasing products on the internet and probably half of them are products that people don’t even need.
• You can sometimes get lucky and sell a product with a horrible landing or sales page.
• What works today may not work tomorrow.
• There is tons of Money to be made on the internet!

Now that we have the facts… what do we do with it?

If I know that I am promoting a product/service/offer that can convert into big money and I don’t see results within the first 24 hrs I don’t just start panicking! I try and decide why it isn’t working so well and then I work on it to optimize it for maximum profits.

There are 3 things that are standing in your way when it comes to Marketing Affiliate products. Here they are:

Impressions
This is how many people are seeing the ads that you set up to bring readers to the landing page/sales page. This is usually in form of a banner or possibly PPC (Pay Per Click) ads. The best way to get a lot of impressions is to increase your traffic if you are displaying banners on your website or to bid higher for PPC ads!

Clicks
Let’s say that you have thousands of impressions and almost no clicks. You obviously know that something is wrong in the way that the ad appears. If you are using a banner on your website then it could be the banner’s placement and look that cause the problem. If you are running a PPC Campaign then it could be the “Title/Headline“,”Body Text“, even the “Display URL“! Keep testing these out to see how they work!

Conversions (Sales/Leads)
If you have a high CTR (Click Through Rate) then you know it isn’t a problem with traffic and clicks but something that lies in your actual sales/landing page! Some products/offers are just known to convert and usually Affiliate Networks will tell you how well they convert so you know your best bets! Obviously this isn’t always the case and sometimes it just isn’t that easy! If you optimize your landing pages to perfection then you are bound to Make Money!

If I am spending $0.50 per click, promoting a product that I can make $20 per sale, and my conversion rate is 5%. Then that means I am actually only making $10 per sale. If the sales or landing page is really bad then that it still really great.. it is even greater because you know that if you improve the sales page you will get higher conversions and Make a lot More Money! One thing to keep in mind is that the “Research and Testing” process can take a while. Don’t ever just give up after a day and say that an offer isn’t working well. You haven’t given it a chance to show you how much money it can make for you! Sometimes it will take weeks to even gather enough data and statistics to even be able to tell how well something will do.

You should always take the time to keep an eye on your offers and try not to be too quick to pull one off the table!

I thought today I would introduce a really simple concept that will really help you start on your journey towards making money online. The idea is simply to have more money to spend or stash away by saving money on some of the luxuries that you waste money on! Obviously you are probably not going to be saving a Million dollars from everything, but you do have to realize that a lot of small purchases do add up!

I know personally that a lot of people who go to work take a lunch break and spend maybe $5-$15 on their lunch and it doesn’t really seem like much, but if you tally up the totals at the end of a month it really looks like a lot more money that is being spent when you could easily bring a lunch that you made at home in the morning. Saving that extra $5 a day will ultimately save you $150 a month; or $1800 a year!

While we are still on the subject of food, I wonder how many people actually take the time to cut out grocery store/super market coupons and use those! You could easily be reducing your food consumption costs by 50% just by doing this!

Also with the prices of gas going higher and higher it is extremely safe to say that you could save a lot of money when it comes to driving around your car everywhere! Instead you have the option of driving less (if possible) or to use public transportation.

Initially, saving a few hundred dollars can really help you if you need to make an investment that will make you money in the future and trust me; it will totally be worth every penny saved! I know that when I first started doing Internet Marketing I didn’t have too much extra cash to spend on things like Buying Domains, Hosting Services, etc. but I did make sure that I had enough to get from where I was standing to my final destination which were essentially my short term goals! It doesn’t matter if your goal is to “Make Money from Your Blog” or to “Flip Domains“… you will need money to fund your online ventures and it will help a lot if you didn’t have a giant cell phone bill or car payments!

It really is true that you can save tons of money in just about any different market, you just have to cut down, look at the deals, and be smart about your decisions! Just by doing this alone, you could find a few extra thousand dollars in your pockets at the end of the year!

Becoming a Millionaire is something that can be within your reach is you think about things the right way and act upon the knowledge you’ve been given. Remember, that everything (including information, resources,etc) that you need to Make Money Online and succeed is available on the internet! All you need to do is know how to use it! Alright guys, so in the past few issues we’ve really looked into Domains and a couple different angles you can play if you want to make some money online with them… now today we are on to Expired Domains and Expired Traffic!

Obviously the first thing you will need to know is what an Expired Domain is exactly. Expired Domains or Dropped/Deleted Domains are Domain names that are essentially coming back on the market to be fought over by anyone. This could either happen because the previous Domain registrant forgot that it was time to renew his/her Domain, is procrastinating to renew his/her Domain, or maybe even just doesn’t feel like they want to renew the Domain.

The main reason why buying Expired Domains can be beneficial to bringing in extra online income is because these Expired domains will still have their Link Popularity! This means that all the previous owner’s link building efforts are still in tact meaning that is a lot less work for you in order to have almost immediate results once the Domain is in your control! You will still want to make sure that the Expired Domains you are thinking about purchasing have a lot of value and you can generally do this by finding out how many websites are linked to them either through Google by typing “link:http://****DOMAIN*NAME****” in the search engine or using a Backlink checker that is available on the web!

There are tons of ways that you can Make Money and potentially Become a Millionaire with Expired Domains. Here are a few:

• Domain Flipping.
  You just bought a developed Domain for $10. You can sell it right away for huge profits! Put it up for bidding on an Internet Marketing or Web Development forum and watch people fight over your domain and make you tons of cash!
• Monetize with AdSense.
  Since the Domain has Backlinks then that means that there is already existing traffic so you can put AdSense on it to make money easy as 1,2,3!
• Sell Ads.
  This is an easy way to generate a couple hundred dollars a month with very little work. The Domains you buy should have a PageRank between 3-5 without any Link Building work if you have found some good ones. This means that you can immediately sell text links on that site and make hundreds of dollars every month! Your original investment on the Expired Domain will turn into profit in no time!

You can also use the Domain to push traffic to your other sites or maybe promote an affiliate product! There is so much you can do to monetize a Domain and we’ve learned a lot of different options here on the ‘ONE YEAR MILLIONAIRE‘ website!

If you are thinking about hitting the Expired Domain trails solo then it might not be the easiest road!  Opposite to popular belief, you cannot buy an Expired Domain on the Expiry date that is generally listed everywhere. There is a long process after that in which the previous owner can re-new the Domain followed up by the deletion phase. The whole thing takes about 75 days total and that is when the Domain will be up for grabs!
