If you are new to the world wide web then you may not know what Domain Parking is. In this issue of the ‘ONE YEAR MILLIONAIRE‘ I am continuing our journey into Domains and what you can do with them by taking a close look at Domain Parking and why it could be beneficial to your online business!

Domain Parking is generally when a Domain Name is registered, but does not currently have a website. This could be a temporary Parked Domain for future development or sometimes could be used for monetary gain! This is obviously not to be confused with “Cybersquatting” ; which is registering a Domain in bad faith to gain from a Trademark. Cybersquatters have the intention of Trademarked companies buying the domain from them at a much higher price then they got it for. Try to avoid this.

An easy way to Make Money from Domain Parking is through Parked Domain Monetization. This is a practice used to benefit from type-in (Organic traffic) where surfers will land on a page with ad listings and relevant links. The owner of the Parked Domain will get paid whenever one of these ads or links is clicked on. This has a high CTR (click through rate) because the surfer has nowhere else to click other than the ads to continue their search. They always have the option to hit the Back button on their browser but a lot of internet users may just click on the ads. A good idea would be to have a very low PPC (Pay Per Click) Campaign with some profitable keywords. Pay for low clicks and lead them to your Parked Page.. once they land on that page they have nowhere else to click but the ads and links which will generate profit for you. All you have to do is make sure that your ads are paying more then you are spending on traffic!

Expired Domains are sometimes bought for the sole purpose of Parking a Domain for Monetization. These Expired Domains still may have many inbound links that could be receiving traffic which could easily be used to Make Money Online!
